Jovonna Stacey Crawford, a 21-month-old toddler, was last seen on June 5, 1981, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. At the time, she was living with her mother, Mary Corbin, at the P. T. Barnum Housing Project. On the day of her disappearance, Jovonna was left in the care of her mother’s boyfriend, Ronald Garrett, who was supposed to take her to her great-grandmother, Mary Moales, who lived in the same housing complex.
