I was digging into the details of Alexander Edwin Shaw's case, and one thing I can't wrap my head around is the state of his car when it was found. The headlights were still on, and the keys were in the ignition. It raises a lot of questions for me. If Shaw did leave the car willingly after the crash, wouldn't he have at least turned off the ignition or the lights unless he was in some sort of disoriented state? That aspect makes me wonder if he left the car in a hurry or if there was an urgent reason for him to walk away. I also find it interesting that two witnesses reportedly saw someone fitting his description the following day. Given that the car was on a relatively well-trafficked highway, there had to be more people who saw something. Maybe someone out there remembers something after all these years? I feel like the answers could still be there, just waiting to be discovered.
I’ve been thinking about the knee dislocation detail mentioned in Alexander Shaw’s case. It’s quite specific and might indicate that if he suffered another dislocation after the crash, it could have made walking difficult or even impossible for him. If he was seen walking along the highway, maybe it was with a noticeable limp or in pain. I wonder if any hospitals in surrounding areas checked their records for anyone fitting his description being treated around that time, especially someone claiming not to know their name. It could be a long shot, but sometimes the smallest details can bring a new perspective to these old cases. Has anyone heard if that angle was ever explored?
Does anyone else find it strange how Alexander Shaw's car was discovered with the headlights still on and the keys in the ignition? This has always baffled me. I mean, why would he leave the car like that if he did just walk away? It seems odd that he'd leave everything running unless he was planning to come right back. Could this suggest he left in a hurry? Maybe something spooked him, or he was meeting someone? Just throwing ideas out there, but it doesn't sit right with me. Anyone got thoughts on what might have happened or any similar cases where the car was left in a way that hinted at something more? Curious to hear what everyone else thinks!
