Anyone else find it odd that there's no mention of whether Maria had any close friends in the area? I feel like that's something you'd hear about in cases involving teenagers. I'm not familiar with how tight-knit the community is in Bradenton, but it seems like someone her age would have at least a small circle of friends, whether from school or elsewhere. Do kids in sponsor family situations typically have a different experience where they might not connect as easily with peers? Just thinking out loud here but wondering if there's a chance someone within her social network has crucial information but hasn't come forward yet. Hope law enforcement is talking to everyone in her immediate sphere.
