I've been going through old unsolved cases and stumbled upon the disappearance of Arthur Stanley "Tim" Carver III and Kevin Wadsworth. What's puzzling me is the lack of evidence despite the supposedly risky venture they were involved in. The authorities back then must have faced quite the challenge trying to trace their steps. It's baffling that even the boat, which should've been a significant clue, never turned up.
Does anyone here know if there were any weather reports from that day in December 1983? I was thinking a storm could have potentially thrown everything off. Also, Miami being an infamous hub for smuggling during the 80s, I wonder if people might have been hesitant to come forward with any information. It makes you think about the level of danger these young men faced, not just from the sea, but from those they might have been in business with.
Any locals or folks familiar with how things operated in Miami back then have insights to share?
Has anyone else looked into the weather conditions the night Tim Carver and Kevin Wadsworth went missing? December can be unpredictable in those waters, and I wonder if a sudden storm could have played a role in what happened. Even if they planned on smuggling marijuana, weather doesn't discriminate, and they could've easily been caught off guard. Just curious if that angle has been explored thoroughly or if anyone's come across maritime records or witness accounts from that evening. It might not solve the case, but it could offer some context to their disappearance.
