Does anyone know if there was ever a thorough search done along Interstate 80 where William supposedly went missing? I can’t help but wonder if maybe he wandered off into the surrounding area after his friends left to get gas. It seems like such a remote area, especially in the middle of the night. Even if it's a long shot, nature can sometimes hide things well. I'm curious if any organized searches were conducted back in the day or any recent efforts to look again since the case has gained more attention. It’s sad that his disappearance took so long to get proper attention, and I just hope his family gets some answers soon.
I've been reading about the William Charles Cordes case, and something that really caught my attention is how his missing person report was apparently canceled not long after he disappeared.
