Does anyone else find it strange how the pink Cadillac caught everyone's attention but led to so few solid leads for nearly 30 years? I mean, a pink Cadillac isn’t exactly inconspicuous! It baffles me that despite having such a unique vehicle tied to the case, it still took until 2012 for DNA advances to crack it open. I guess it highlights how tech limitations back then kept investigators in the dark. Makes you wonder how many more cases are waiting on just the right breakthrough. Anyone know if there's been any new technologies emerging that might help officers find Kergan’s remains?

I've been diving into the details of Gary Kergan's case, and something that's puzzling me is the involvement of Mulla's diary. Is there more information on what exactly was written in it that suggested she was plotting his murder? It seemed like a pivotal piece of evidence that was initially overlooked. I've seen other cases where personal diaries have been crucial in securing convictions, but it's strange how this didn't lead to a swift arrest and trial back in the '80s. The timing of the judicial system catching up with forensic science in 2012 really fascinates me—like, the potential for evidence sitting right under the investigators' noses that couldn't initially be acted upon. Anyone else have thoughts on this or similar cases where evidence couldn't be used until years later?
