Does anyone else find it odd that Valerie's case seems to have such a long gap in time from when she was last seen? Saying she disappeared sometime between February and May gives such a large window. It’s 1985, I know, but surely someone could narrow it down a bit more. Was there a specific sighting that placed her in Needles during that time, or is it more about when her parents last heard from her?
Also, curious if there were any inconsistencies in her phone call to her parents when she mentioned losing her money and bus ticket. Did she seem distressed? Calm? Obviously, calling for more money seems straightforward, but I can’t help but wonder if there was more to the conversation that might give some clue. If anyone has thoughts or additional insights, I’d love to hear them.
I’ve been digging a bit into Valerie Ann Larkin’s case, and something intriguing caught my attention recently. When Valerie was last heard from, she was in Needles, which is quite a small town. It got me thinking, did anyone else on the bus or in the area remember seeing her? It'd be interesting to know if there were any reported sightings or interactions that might not have made it into the public eye.
Given how crucial travel hubs can be in missing person cases, I wonder if any thorough checks were done at the bus station or with the bus company at that time. Sometimes, people around us pick up on small details, like a distinct feature or memorable attire, that could help narrow down a timeline or even provide a lead. I’d be keen to hear if anyone has come across any information regarding the passengers or staff who might have interacted with her at any point during her journey. Such details could potentially reopen avenues for investigation or spark new theories. Anyone have thoughts or access to old reports that might offer more insight?
