It's been over 30 years, and still not a trace of James Cary Smith. It’s puzzling that someone could disappear so completely without leaving any solid leads. Has anyone considered the possibility of amnesia or any type of trauma-induced memory loss? I know it's a long shot, but such cases have happened before where individuals just start new lives, unaware of who they truly are. Could James have accidentally ended up in a situation where he lost all memory of his past? It's a slim chance, but it might be worth exploring if there were any hospitals or shelters in the area that might have records from that time. Thoughts?

Has anyone else wondered about the specific location James Cary Smith was last seen? The 2000 block of Friendship Drive in Harvey seems pretty residential from what I can find online. It's mostly single-family homes, right? Makes me curious if anyone living there at the time might have seen or heard anything unusual. Maybe someone walking their dog or taking out the trash that day might recall a detail that seemed insignificant back then.
