Has anyone else looked into the community angle for Elmer "Boots" Booth's disappearance? I've been reading up on this case, and it's really got me thinking. Colfax is a small place, right? So, everyone pretty much knows everyone else's business. It just seems odd to me that someone can disappear without a trace in such a tight-knit area.
I'm wondering if there’s more information from local residents that hasn't made it into the official reports or the media. Maybe people thought it was nothing at the time or didn't want to get involved. Is there any way to reach out to those who lived in Colfax back then, to find out if they remember seeing anything unusual around April 1993? Maybe they saw "Boots" speaking with someone or acting out of character beyond just appearing confused?
Just trying to look at this case from another perspective. After all these years, maybe it's time to consider looking into less-explored leads from the community itself. Any thoughts?
Has anyone looked into the possibility of Elmer "Boots" Booth having a hidden past or connections that we might not be aware of? I find it odd that an entire investigation could come up empty despite him being a regular in town and likely known to locals. I remember reading in some older cases that sometimes there are hidden stories or unspoken connections that only come to light later. Given his age and the time period, is it possible he was involved in something from decades earlier that might have resurfaced? Does anyone have more info on Booth's background that isn't mentioned in the official reports? Just trying to explore all angles!
