I’ve always been puzzled by the fact that Dawn Haines went missing right after such a major holiday. New Year’s Day is typically a time when people are surrounded by friends or family, and the idea that she vanished right around then makes me wonder if anyone saw or noticed anything unusual. I’ve read that her family and friends did all the right things, like organizing searches and distributing flyers, but I can’t shake the feeling that maybe someone in the community knows more than they’re saying. With so many people out and about celebrating, surely someone might have seen or heard something? It feels like there are still stones left unturned in her case. Anyone familiar with the area have insights into how closely-knit the community was in 1995, or if they think it might have influenced the investigation in any way?
