I just stumbled upon the case of Jack Daniel Phillips while diving into another missing persons case, and something caught my attention: that mysterious collect call that was thought to be from Jack. Does anyone know if there was any effort to trace that call back in 1995? I know technology was different back then, but I'm curious if anything useful was gleaned from it. It's always bugged me how many of these cases have these strange, potentially pivotal moments that seem to just… fade away without answers. If anyone has insights or remembers a similar case where a call played a crucial part, I'd love to chat about it.
