Has anyone else here been following the unsolved case of Damon McNeal? I've been thinking about how he was found on North 11th Street, and it just breaks my spirit knowing his family probably wakes up every day hoping for answers. It’s frustrating how many cases from 2015 remain unresolved, especially when they involve such senseless violence. I read that many incidents happen during late-night hours, and I wonder if there’s more that could be done in terms of community watch or increasing patrol during those times. It’s just so sad that folks like Damon become statistics when there are people who love them and miss them dearly. If anyone knows anything or has ideas on how we can support efforts to solve cases like his, it would be great to hear them. We can't forget Damon.
I was reading about Damon McNeal's case again and can't shake how there's been such a lack of closure for his family. The devastating increase in violent crimes in Philly that year has left so many families like Damon's without answers. I know it's been years, but I sincerely hope that someone who knows even a small piece of information will find the courage to speak up. It's so hard to believe that a life can be taken so suddenly, and then it feels like the world just moves on. That corner of North 11th Street seems to hold so much pain now. If only we could rewind time and change things, but until then, keeping this story alive might be the connection to the person who knows something useful. Peace to Damon's loved ones in their search for closure.
Hey everyone,
I recently came across the case of Damon McNeal, and something that really struck me was the area where the shooting took place. The 6700 block of North 11th Street seems like it should be a quiet, residential area, so it’s incredibly distressing that such a violent act could happen there. It’s a reminder that gun violence can really permeate any neighborhood. I'm sure the local community must have been deeply shaken by this tragedy.
I can only imagine how frightening it must be for residents to know a crime like this happened so close to home, and what Damon’s family must have gone through losing him to something so senseless. I hope people who might know something will find the courage to speak up. It’s so vital for communities to feel safe and for families to find the closure they deserve.
Does anyone know if there have been any community efforts or vigils in the area to remember Damon and others who’ve experienced similar fates?
Stay safe, everyone.
