Hey everyone, I've been reading up on Robert Allen Dale Jr.'s case from '96, and something that really puzzles me is the sighting at the Downtowner Bar. A lot of people focus on whether he was actually there, but I'm more curious about what he might have been doing if he was indeed there. Sault Ste. Marie was a tight-knit community back then. If he was downtown, could he have run into someone he knew? Maybe someone from the wedding reception or an old acquaintance? Bars are social places, and people tend to let their guards down. I wonder if we should be looking at who else was at the bar that night, even if the sighting wasn’t credible in the end. Could there have been other people who might have seen him earlier or later? I feel like there’s more to dig into regarding the people present at Downtowner that evening. Just my thoughts!
Hey all,
I've been following Robert Allen Dale Jr.'s case for a while now, and it's always bugged me about that sighting near the Downtowner Bar. It just seems so odd to me that a witness would recant their statement after claiming they saw him. Was there any pressure on them? Or could it have been a case of mistaken identity? Sometimes, people can be convinced they saw something they didn't, especially when alcohol is involved. Also, thinking about the timelines makes me question whether Robert could have been there at all given how intoxicated he was said to be earlier.
It's frustrating that the case has had such little movement over the years. I hope there are still people out there talking about this every chance they get because someone, somewhere, must know something that can help put the pieces together. Robert's three boys deserve answers about what happened to their dad.
Anyone else have thoughts on this?!
