Robert Allen Dale Jr., 33, went missing on May 18, 1996, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Dale was last seen attending a wedding reception with his wife. After the reception, he was reported to be very intoxicated, passing out in their van before reportedly being seen downtown near the Downtowner Bar later that evening. Witness accounts place him behind the bar between 11:30 p.m. and midnight, although his family doubts the credibility of this sighting as it was later recanted by the witness.
