I've been thinking about the location where Kegley was last seen—specifically, that BP gas station near Highway 231 and Redland Road. It's a pretty busy area, which makes me wonder how someone could just disappear from there without any witnesses. Did anyone in the area notice a struggle or see anything suspicious that day? There must have been people coming and going, especially in the afternoon. Maybe someone saw something that just didn't seem important at the time.
Also, it's curious that the car was found so quickly on Old Georgia Road. Why would an abductor take the risk of driving the car with her daughter inside, only to abandon it the next day? Could it be possible that someone local was involved, someone familiar with those roads? There's something very unsettling about the sequence of events, and it feels like there are pieces missing. If anyone's from that area and recalls anything, even if it seems minor, it could be helpful. Just trying to connect dots here because it sounds like there's more to the story.
I find the location details in Kegley's case truly puzzling. The BP station on Highway 231 is always buzzing with activity, even back in '98. It seems like such a public place for anything sinister to take place unnoticed. It's curious her belongings were found with the car on Old Georgia Road. That place is much more secluded, a stark contrast to the bustling environment of the BP station. I wonder if whoever's responsible knew these areas well, using the busy highway to approach her without catching attention and then moving her car to the more isolated road overnight. Additionally, if she was indeed washing her car at the gas station, it might have drawn attention from potential bystanders. Can anyone familiar with this area shed light on how crowded it tends to get, especially during those late spring afternoons? Would love to hear theories on how someone might have been able to take Kegley unnoticed.
