I've been following the case of Kai Thomas, and my thoughts are with his family during this incredibly difficult time. It breaks my heart to see how many young lives were taken in Pittsburgh during 2016, and it's even more frustrating to know that so many cases, like Kai's, are still without answers. It's alarming how deep-rooted the issue of witness cooperation seems to be. I wonder if there's more that can be done to protect those who might fear coming forward. Community efforts have been mentioned, but there seems to be a significant gap between what's planned and what's actually enacted. Maybe more can be done to build trust and ensure safety for those who have information? It's just hard to fathom the pain of losing someone in such a violent way and feeling like the system can't bring justice. Hoping that speaking out and keeping Kai and others in the spotlight might encourage someone to come forward eventually. Justice is long overdue, and these families deserve closure.
