Hey everyone, I've been following Prentiss Dant’e Simpson's case for a while, and something that's been bugging me is the lack of media coverage. Given his criminal history, I feel like he might not have been given the same level of attention as someone else in a similar situation without a record. It feels like they wrote him off too quickly as an absconder rather than thoroughly investigating potential foul play. I wonder how much more info we'd have by now if the case had gotten more exposure. Anyone else feel the same way or had similar thoughts about other cases? Always curious if the public's perception can change the course of investigations...
Hey everyone, I’ve been looking into Prentiss Dant’e Simpson’s disappearance, and I noticed something about his case that's really puzzling. While he was last seen on Merritt Street, there's hardly any mention of who he was last with or what he was doing that day. Have there been any potential witnesses who saw him on March 14, 2002? It’s odd because it’s a residential area, and you’d think someone might have seen something unusual or at least remembered something after all these years. Also, how common is it for law enforcement to classify a missing person as an absconder, and could that have affected the investigation? Just trying to wrap my head around why there haven't been more details released over two decades later. Any thoughts?
Is anyone else curious about the timing of Prentiss Simpson's disappearance and his parole status? It seems odd that he vanished just a little over a year before his parole was supposed to end. I'm wondering if this timing played into the "absconder" classification. It might have affected how his case was prioritized back then.
Also, with those unique tattoos, you'd think someone would have noticed him at some point. "Slim Thug" on his arm and "Dan" on his back are pretty standout identifiers. Has anyone looked into whether he might have been seen getting those tattoos added or modified around that time? Just thinking out loud, but those are the sort of things that stick out and could be keys in crossing paths with someone who might remember seeing him around.
