I came across the story of Josephus Butler while researching unsolved cases in Philly, and it's just such a devastating loss for the community. What's especially haunting is that both he and Norman Brown were attacked in what should have been the safety of a home. I can't imagine the fear and confusion Josephus's neighbors must have felt, knowing this happened right on their block. I hope the increased awareness of this case will prompt someone to come forward with information. Even the smallest detail could be the key to finding those responsible for such a violent act. The fact that it's been years without closure must be incredibly hard on their families and friends who deserve answers. Let's keep the discussion going and encourage anyone who knows something to speak up.
