I was reading about Darvey Johnson’s case again, and it’s just so upsetting to know that after all these years, there still hasn’t been any justice for him or his family. What really stands out to me is the persistent issue of witness silence in such incidents. It makes you wonder whether there’s fear of retaliation that’s keeping people from speaking up or just a general feeling of disconnect where witnesses think someone else will come forward. The neighborhood where this happened probably has more information than they realize, but without that crucial step of someone stepping forward, it's like his story is stuck in limbo. And then there’s the broader issue—how does a community move past the violence when these cases just linger? I really hope someone out there who knows something finds the courage to speak up. My heart goes out to Darvey’s family; they deserve peace and closure.
