Hi everyone, I’ve been following Gregory McLeod’s case closely and just had a thought that’s been on my mind about the community response in Homewood. It seems like this neighborhood has been plagued by violence for a while, and I can’t imagine how stressful that must be for the residents. It seems like a lot of people there knew Gregory or at least knew of him, considering his reputation as a "gentle giant." I wonder if the ongoing violence is deterring witnesses from coming forward? The fear of retaliation can be very real and paralyzing. I just hope that someone feels courageous enough to speak up, not only for Gregory's sake but also to set an example of bravery for others. His family deserves answers and closure, and the community deserves peace. My heart goes out to his family and all who are navigating this tough time. Let's keep Gregory and his loved ones in our thoughts and hope this case finally sees some progress. Would love to hear any thoughts on how the community could be supported in facing this issue or if anyone local might have some insights into initiatives that could help encourage more witnesses to step forward safely.
