Has anyone else been following the Tiana Kay Weed case? I recently stumbled upon a detail that got me thinking about the broader implications of international custody disputes. From what I've read, Japan doesn't always enforce foreign custody orders, which might explain why Brett Weed's attempts to have his kids returned haven't been successful, despite being granted full custody by a U.S. court in 2005. It seems like a massive legal and diplomatic grey area that complicates these situations to an extreme degree. Does anyone have more insight or similar cases where a resolution was eventually found? I can't imagine the frustration of dealing with such a complex legal battle across international borders.
