I was reading about Elsha Marie Rivera's case, and something that struck me is the possibility of human trafficking. It's terrifying to think how common this might be and how vulnerable someone like Elsha could have been given her medical condition and situation. She needed care, not danger. But why Oklahoma or Mexico? Just thinking about how vast these places are and how quickly someone can vanish in that network is chilling. With her health deteriorating, she wouldn't have stood much chance on her own. It's been almost two decades—can anyone provide any fresh insights on how these trafficking routes worked back then or any similar cases in that area? I really hope more awareness can bring some leads to light.
