I've been reading a lot about Janet Lynn Shanahan's case, and something that really stands out to me is the location where her body was found. Cross Street was an industrial area back in 1969, not at all the kind of place you’d expect a young student to end up. It makes me wonder if there's any significance to that. Did the killer know the area well? Could they have worked there or had some kind of connection to it? It just seems so random and out-of-the-way. My heart goes out to Janet's family and friends who have had to live without answers for so long. If anyone out there knows something or remembers any detail, no matter how small, reaching out could make a difference. Keeping hope alive for her family.

Does anyone else find it strange that Janet's murder happened right after a family gathering she attended without her husband, Christopher? I know he was reportedly ill, but it's still odd that she never made it home. Could something have happened on her way back or was someone waiting for her? Also, given that her car was found in an industrial area, I wonder if maybe someone who worked nearby might have seen or heard something that could finally bring some answers to this case. It's still an open wound for her family, and I hope one day they can find the closure they’ve been seeking for so long. If you're from the area or had family there at the time, maybe someone has information that didn’t seem important back then but could help now.
