Something that's been bothering me about the Wix case is the change in Benton's story. Initially, he says Jennifer and Adrianna left with someone he didn't know. Then, he says he dropped them off at a gas station and Jennifer came back later alone. If he truly didn't know where they went or who might have been involved, why change the story? It just doesn’t sit right with me. It's not uncommon for people in cases like this to alter details, but it usually sends up red flags. I think it's worth considering what reasons he might have had to shift his account. Could it have been out of fear, guilt, or just trying to cover up something? Without more clarity, unfortunately, it's hard to say. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

I’ve been thinking about the Werther gas station that William Benton mentioned in his account. It's strange to me that even after all these years, there hasn't been anyone who came forward saying they saw Jennifer or Adrianna there that night. A gas station is usually pretty busy, isn't it? Especially during the evening hours. You'd think someone would remember a young mom with a toddler, especially in a small town like Cross Plains. Also, has there ever been a deep dive into any surveillance footage from that area back in 2004? Maybe in-side cameras or even traffic cameras nearby? It's baffling and frustrating to not have these pieces of information. What do you all think?
