Has anyone else looked into the history of NE Sacramento Street around the time of Jean Hooper's murder? It's crazy to think that in 1976, some folks felt safe enough to leave their doors unlocked. I heard she often had visitors, which might explain why she did that. My heart goes out to her friends and family, especially since they still don't have answers after all these years. If anyone knows more about the area back then or recalls anything unusual from around that time, it could be a missing piece of the puzzle. Let's hope someone comes forward soon.

I've been following the case of Jean Hooper, and something that's been sticking with me is the fact that she often had visitors and might've left her door unlocked. I think about how trusting she must have been, welcoming people into her home. It's such a shame that this trust could have been taken advantage of in such a horrific way. As much as it's important to focus on finding justice, it's equally important we remember Jean for who she was – a person who cared about others enough to keep her door open. I hope someone out there knows something and can help bring the family some peace.
