I've always been intrigued by the dynamics within Garnell Monroe Moore's family, particularly regarding how the community and relatives were involved before he was reported missing. It's puzzling and quite telling how it took several years for someone to officially raise the alarm about Garnell's absence. With multiple relatives informally caring for one child, I can imagine there must have been assumptions that someone else was looking after him, or perhaps people were hesitant to dig deeper due to Garnell's complicated family situation. It's a heartbreaking reminder of how vulnerable kids can slip through the cracks.
