Garnell Monroe Moore, a 10-year-old boy from Baltimore, Maryland, was last seen in August 2002 while staying with his paternal aunt, Belinda Cash. Garnell had a challenging upbringing, as his mother was incarcerated and his father lived a transient lifestyle, leading to his informal care by various relatives. He spent his earliest years in Baltimore and was placed with Cash when he was six years old, although she never had legal custody of him.
