I've been digging into the case of Pedro Pablo Venegas Pacheco, and something that's been on my mind is the location where this tragedy occurred. NE Killingsworth Street is known for its diverse community, but it's troubling that many of these kinds of violent incidents appear to go unsolved in that area. I wonder if the neighborhood dynamics and the influx of residents at the time played any role in why no connection has been established between Pacheco and his killer. I've read about how certain areas can unintentionally become overlooked when it comes to investigations, which is really disheartening. It's so important that we keep talking about these cases because Pedro deserves justice, and his family and friends deserve closure. Maybe with more attention, or if someone remembers something new, the detectives can finally find the lead they need to crack this case. If anyone in the community back then saw or heard something unusual, even if it seemed insignificant, now's the time to come forward. Let's not let this case fade into the background.
