Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about the details surrounding Henry "Shortly" Palacios' last days, particularly his plans to move to a detox facility in Ontario. It seems he was really trying to make a positive change in his life, which makes his tragic death even more devastating. Was there ever any more information about his time at the Hooper Center? I'm curious if anyone there ever noticed anything unusual or if he mentioned the threats from those dealers to anyone else.
Also, it’s really concerning that the attackers just vanished right after committing such a bold crime in a busy area like SW 5th Avenue. You’d think with so many people around, someone might have spotted these guys or caught a glimpse of where they went afterward. Does anyone know if there were any surveillance cameras nearby that could have helped identify them?
It's just so frustrating and sad that this case is still unsolved. Hoping for justice for Henry and peace for his loved ones.
Stay safe, everyone.
Does anyone else find it chilling that Henry "Shortly" Palacios seemed aware his life was in danger before he was tragically murdered? In the days before his death, he mentioned to friends that drug dealers believed he had stolen from them and were after him. It's haunting to think that he carried this fear with him, and that it might have ultimately led to his end in such a violent fashion. I can’t imagine the anxiety and stress he must have felt. This makes me think there might be someone out there who knows more about the situation with these drug dealers or his supposed theft. If that’s the case, I hope they can muster the courage to come forward. Palacios deserved a chance to turn his life around and that chance was stolen from him. My thoughts go out to his family and friends who must live with this unresolved tragedy.
