I've been following the discussion around Cassie Stevens' murder, and what keeps coming back to me is how vulnerable life on the streets can make someone. It's truly sad how Cassie, who had her own struggles, ended up in such a tragic situation. I've read that Cassie had just moved to Portland's Old Town before her murder and was trying to cope with her addiction. It makes me wonder about the support systems available for people facing similar challenges. Did she have anyone to turn to for help? We often forget how easily people can fall through the cracks, particularly when they lack a stable support network. It's frustrating that no suspects have been identified yet. If only there were more resources to help those in need and possibly prevent such tragedies. I genuinely hope that more is done to help people like Cassie and that justice is eventually served for her and her family. Every piece of information counts, so if anyone knows anything, please share it with the authorities. Cassie's family deserves answers.

Has anyone else thought about the location where Cassie was found? Powers Marine Park seems like an odd place for this crime. It's a bit out of the way, and considering she was last seen in Old Town, it makes me wonder if she was taken there against her will. The trail of blood suggests the crime might not have happened right in the park, maybe somewhere nearby? Also, with July being a busy outdoor month, you'd think there'd be more potential witnesses in the area or someone who might have heard something unusual. Wish the police could release more details about the surrounding area where Cassie was discovered. Her family must be desperate for any lead. Just hoping someone will come forward soon with new information.

Hi everyone, I came across this case recently, and it's been on my mind a lot. Cassie Stevens' murder in 1998 is such a tragic story. I can't help but think about the circumstances surrounding her final moments. The fact that she was last seen alive in the early hours of July 14 and later found in Powers Marine Park really raises questions for me. Was she meeting someone she trusted, or was it a completely random encounter? The detail about the trail of blood leading to her body is particularly haunting. It makes me wonder if she tried to escape or call for help. It's incredibly frustrating and sad for her family and loved ones that no one has been brought to justice after all these years. If anyone is familiar with the area at that time or has any insight into what might have been going on in Old Town back then, it would be great to hear more. Maybe there's a small detail out there that could finally bring some closure to this case. Let's keep Cassie and her family in our thoughts. Hopefully, some new information will surface soon. Stay safe, everyone.
