I was reading about the 1999 murder of Harold Rogers, and it struck me how much this case must devastate his family even after all these years. It’s truly sad that justice hasn’t been served for Harold. He was just doing his job, trying to keep everyone safe, and his life was brutally taken away. The fact that the suspects could still be out there living normal lives while Harold’s family lives with this every day is just so unsettling. It makes you wonder how much information witnesses might be holding back, intentionally or not. Could there be someone out there who has remembered another detail about that night but hasn't come forward yet? I really hope that anyone with even a scrap of information about what happened will reach out to the Portland Police Cold Case Unit. It's time Harold's family got some closure. My heart goes out to them.
Does anyone else feel especially frustrated about how this case is still unsolved, even after so many years? It feels like Harold Rogers' story was frozen in time that night, leaving everyone—his family, friends, and the community—without answers. The detail about one suspect having a blood-smeared shirt and a cut on his hand sticks in my mind. It seems significant, yet it wasn't enough? I hope advances in forensic science or maybe new witness testimonies can finally provide the breakthrough needed here. Sending strength to all who knew Harold and are still seeking justice.
Just stumbled across info about Harold Rogers' case from '99, and it really struck me how the trail seems to have gone cold after all these years. I can't stop thinking about the third guy from that night—there's so much speculation about his role. Was he just an onlooker caught in a bad situation, or does he know more than he's letting on? I've read that he wasn't involved in the actual shooting, but you have to wonder if he holds the missing piece that could bring justice for Harold and closure for his family. I hope someone with information finds the courage to come forward. Harold's loved ones deserve answers and some semblance of peace. Anyone here with insights on how cold cases like this one get a breakthrough?
