Hi everyone, I've been following Jonathan Tew's case since it was first reported, and something that's been on my mind recently is the role of Eglin Air Force Base in the area. Given that Jonathan started his hike there, I wonder if the base's proximity could have had any influence or if it's worth revisiting that part of the trail. I've read that military areas often have restricted zones, and I'm curious if anyone knows about any specific restrictions there around that time in 2008. Could there have been any military exercises or closed-off sections that might not have been known to hikers? Maybe revisiting some of these seemingly minor details might offer a fresh perspective or lead on what could have happened. If anyone has information about the base’s activities back then or has similar thoughts, I'd love to hear them. Every bit of new insight might help piece things together!
