Jonathan Tew, a 53-year-old man from Lake Wales, Florida, was last seen on November 1, 2008. He had embarked on a solo hike along the Florida Trail, beginning at Eglin Air Force Base and heading southbound. Tew was an experienced hiker, and it was common for him to engage in outdoor activities, but concerns grew when he failed to make contact with his family or return as expected.
