Hey everyone, I've been going through old news articles and came across something interesting about Jon Barrett's disappearance. His van, the one that reappeared mysteriously, was initially spotted abandoned near a trailhead about a mile from his house before it was returned. I wonder if the person who returned it could have parked it there first for a specific reason. Maybe they were trying to create a false lead by making it look like Jon went for a hike? Or could it even be as simple as someone borrowing it and then getting cold feet about keeping it? There's so much that doesn’t add up with this case. It’s odd that no neighbors saw or heard anything considering how close-knit the community is. Anyone else think there might be more to these sudden appearances and disappearances of his van, or am I just spiraling into theories?

Hey sleuths, I've been going through old missing persons cases and came across the disappearance of Jon Barrett from Pocatello in 2008. Something that caught my attention is the strange situation regarding his Dodge Caravan. It's so odd that it disappeared with him and then just showed up back at his house. Who could have returned it, and why? I wonder if the van holds any key evidence that might have been overlooked. Did anyone ever check the GPS or any kind of tracking data from the vehicle? I feel like whoever brought it back might know way more than they're letting on. It's strange how such a crucial lead seemingly dried up. Could there be more to this story that never made it to the public? Would love to hear if anyone has thoughts or more info on this case, especially about that van! Every piece of the puzzle could help!

Has anyone else found the situation with Jon Barrett's dogs particularly strange? I mean, everything I read about him indicates that he was really attached to them. For him to leave them behind, especially with the front door open, doesn't seem like something he'd do. It's almost as if he left in a hurry or was planning to come right back. It's been years, but I wonder if anyone ever looked into whether the dogs reacted oddly around certain people or if they found anything unusual in the area around his home. Could the dogs have seen something or someone? Just a thought, but it feels like there's a piece of this puzzle that might involve them.
