Has anyone else noticed how much emphasis there was on the inconsistencies in Misty Croslin's story? It's puzzling why someone would give conflicting accounts, especially in such a serious situation. Could it be nerves, confusion, or something more concerning? Also, given that she failed several polygraph tests, I wonder why more pressure wasn't put on her to explain these discrepancies. I'm curious if anyone's heard anything about why these aspects have remained so murky after all these years. It feels like this is a major roadblock in finding out what really happened to Haleigh. Thoughts?
I've been thinking a lot about the statement Haleigh's brother made—the one about seeing a man dressed in black. I know he was only three at the time, but kids can sometimes remember way more than we give them credit for. Is this a lead that got lost in the mix because of his age? I mean, could he have seen something critical? I haven't seen much discussion on why his statement wasn't followed up more aggressively, especially considering the situation. It makes me wonder if there's something about this embroidered memory that could have been overlooked early on. Has anyone heard if they tried using any child specialists to see if he could recall more details? There's just something about the way children view the world—they pick up on things adults might miss. Would love to hear thoughts or any information you might have!
