Hey everyone, I've been reading about Laura Marie Nimbach's case, and something that's really stuck with me is the timeline before her disappearance. Laura was supposed to testify against her abuser shortly after she vanished. Given that she was seen talking to a police officer a day before, it makes me wonder if she was scared or if she felt threatened by the upcoming court date. Does anyone know if there were any safety measures in place for her at that time? It's troubling to think that she might have been targeted for being brave enough to stand up against her abuser. If any fellow sleuths have insights or similar cases where the victim went missing before testifying, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
