I was reading up on Isaac Lee Roberts' case again today and something struck me about his disappearance. How did no one spot him when he supposedly hitched a ride back to Coeur d’Alene? It’s not like traveling between Joseph and Coeur d’Alene is a desolate route. There’s towns, gas stations, and diners along the way where someone should've remembered seeing him, particularly if he was using something as conspicuous as his motorcycle jacket or carrying a bag.
You also have to wonder about the person claiming they ran out of gas. It just feels like an odd and convenient story to me. Given how meticulous Isaac seemed about his motorcycle and personal belongings, it’s hard to swallow that he’d up and leave, especially given his health issues. I can’t even fathom the anguish his family must be feeling without answers. Keeping the conversation alive feels important, so we don’t lose sight of the justice Isaac and his loved ones deserve.
I've been thinking a lot about Isaac Lee Roberts' disappearance and how odd it is that someone with serious health issues would just vanish without a trace. I can't help but question the story about the car running out of gas and Isaac deciding to hitchhike. It doesn't add up, especially knowing he left behind his motorcycle and reportedly had thousands of dollars on him. Wouldn't it make more sense for someone like him, dealing with lung issues, to stick close to transportation and not risk his health by walking long stretches or relying on strangers for a ride?
I really feel for his family. Not knowing must be incredibly difficult. I hope they get some resolution soon. It's unsettling to think about what might have happened to him after he was last seen. If anyone else was at Chief Joseph Days around the time Isaac disappeared, it would be tremendously helpful if they could come forward with any information, even if it seems insignificant. Every detail might play a part in finally figuring out the truth behind Isaac's disappearance.
