Has anyone else been intrigued by the telegram Beverly sent? It just feels so out of character, especially if she wasn't known to be seeing anyone romantically. The language used—"Got married. Leaving town. Will not be back"—seems almost scripted, like something out of a mystery novel rather than a note from a teenager. It's so abrupt and lacks the personal touch you might expect from someone writing to their parents. I wonder if someone else might have influenced or even written the telegram for her. It's just odd to me that there's no evidence of her being involved with anyone, yet she mentions getting married. Could it have been a ruse to throw everyone off? Thoughts?
