Has anyone else been digging into the McQueary and Hundley case and found the bit about the potential connection to the sewer trench project? It's been haunting me. The fact that the police re-excavated areas, especially spots like that where the boys used to play, makes me wonder if there could still be something there that got overlooked. I know they didn't find anything back then, but technology and methods are so much better now. It's been almost 60 years—maybe a fresh look could bring new insights? I wonder if searches with newer equipment, like ground-penetrating radar, might uncover anything that wasn't detectable before. It's been so long, but I can’t help thinking there might be more to find in places that have been searched before. Anyone else think the same way?

Having grown up in Fairfax, I've heard stories about the old sewer trench project near where James and John went missing. It was a massive project back in the day, and there were so many places the boys used to play around there. Many of us in the community have always wondered if something could have happened to them there, like an accident or even if someone took advantage of that area being so accessible. It sticks with me that despite the re-excavations, they never found anything. It makes me think if there could still be something there that went overlooked, or has it truly just been lost to time? It's unsettling how these places we think are familiar can hold such mysteries. Has anyone else from the area ever thought about this?
