Does anyone have more info about why Vernon might have been targeted, or was this really just a random act of violence? It's beyond comprehension how someone could inflict such pain and suffering on another human being, especially someone who served our country. I've been reading about this case, and it just hits so hard thinking about the moment he must have realized what was happening. It's chilling to think that these attackers might still be out there. I hope that new technology and DNA advancements can somehow provide leads. Huge respect to the Tulsa PD for keeping up the fight to bring peace to Vernon’s family. I keep coming back to the car described by witnesses in the Vernon Abdoo case. It's been so many years, but maybe someone remembers seeing an old black-and-white or light-colored vehicle around the area back in 1986. Cars like that can stand out, especially if they’re not common models. It's hard to imagine that nobody saw anything else significant about it, like a license plate or a specific detail that could lead to a break in the case. Just a long shot, but maybe this will jog someone’s memory. I can’t imagine the pain Abdoo’s family has gone through all these years without closure.
