I’ve been following Rebecca Colley’s case for some time now, and something that always strikes me is how many people were reportedly in the parking lot that night at the M&J Club. It boggles my mind that not a single one of them has come forward with information that could help solve this. I understand fears of retaliation, especially in tight-knit communities, but we’re talking about getting justice for a young woman here who had her whole life ahead of her. It’s always painful to think how different things might be if just one person had the courage to speak up. I really hope the cold case task force makes some progress soon. If anyone reading this knows anything, please reach out to the authorities. Keeping silent only prolongs the anguish for Rebecca’s family.
