I’ve been thinking a lot about the sighting at the convenience store. The clerk mentioned that Dorothy looked frightened and was with one or two men. This is such an uncomfortable detail that stands out. If there was even a chance she was scared and with people she didn’t know, what could have been the circumstances that led her there? It's hard not to think about the possibilities: abduction, a ride gone wrong, or maybe even being lured by someone she knew. The distance from the shopping center to the store where she was reportedly seen is only eight miles. Could it have been a planned stop on their way somewhere else? I just wonder if revisiting all the witness accounts closely might uncover something that was missed before. Anyone else feel there might be more to that encounter?
