Has anyone else looked into the weather conditions on the day Trenny disappeared? I find it fascinating how environmental factors could've played a role. The Great Smoky Mountains can be pretty unpredictable weather-wise, even in October. If I remember correctly, it was a cool, foggy day when Trenny went missing, which could've made it easy for someone to lose their bearings. I wonder if the fog might have also limited visibility for the search teams. Could this have impacted the initial search efforts? It’s so frustrating knowing how quickly the elements can hide traces in such a vast wilderness. Would love to hear more about how they coordinated the search given those conditions.
Something that’s been bugging me about Trenny’s case is the area she vanished in. I’ve been reading up on the Great Smoky Mountains, and it's said to be really rugged and dense with foliage, almost to the point where you can lose sight of someone just a few yards away. It got me wondering—could that dense undergrowth have contributed to the mystery? I mean, if she stepped off the trail and somehow got disoriented, it might have been incredibly easy to veer off into a spot where searchers wouldn’t look or where her scent trail could be lost. Not ruling out other possibilities, but when you're dealing with a tough terrain like that, anything feels possible. Does anyone know if the search teams re-examined some of those less accessible areas later on? Or once the initial search was over, was it sort of left as is?
