Has anyone else looked into the connection between Nelida’s disappearance and the fake police badge found with Rudy Flores? I’ve been digging through old cases, and it seems like impersonating an officer was a common tactic during that time to abduct kids. What puzzles me is why they couldn’t pin more concrete evidence against him. Was there a drop in effort or resources after Flores was caught for those other crimes? It's so frustrating to think that they might have had their guy but couldn’t get him for Nelida's case. Any insights from anyone who’s researched similar cases or has ideas on why they couldn’t build a stronger case back then?
