I was recently reading about the Christie Farni case and something stood out to me. Has anyone else looked into the background of Henry Lee Lucas's confession? I know he's known for making false claims, but I wonder why he'd specifically mention Christie. Was there something in the media at the time that he might have latched onto? It's frustrating to think how many resources were possibly diverted because of his unreliable statements. Lucas's confessions seemed to cause so much chaos in various cases. Any thoughts on why law enforcement might have been inclined to take his claims seriously back then, considering his track record?
