Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Larry Irving's tragic death, and it's just so sad to see how gang violence continues to affect families and communities. What really struck me about this particular case is the broader context of the struggles that law enforcement face with gang-related crimes. It seems like during that period, San Diego was overwhelmed with these incidents, and I can't imagine how hard it must have been for the police, not to mention the victims’ families. The San Diego Police Department's Cold Case Team is still working hard on similar cases from that time, but it must be incredibly challenging given the complexity and number of incidents. It just goes to show how important it is for communities to come together to support anti-gang initiatives and work towards safer neighborhoods. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved Larry. He didn't deserve what happened to him, and I hope that other unsolved cases from that era can eventually find resolution and justice for the families still waiting for answers.
