Has anyone ever found more information about Douglas Rubin's state of mind before he disappeared? It's always baffled me that he left his eyeglasses behind in the car on the Throgs Neck Bridge. As a glasses-wearer myself, I know how disorienting and uncomfortable it feels to go without them, especially if you're in a heightened emotional state. It makes me wonder if he ran into someone he knew and decided to leave with them in a hurry, leaving his stuff behind. Or maybe he just wanted to disconnect from everything and didn’t think he’d need them anymore. I really wish there was more clarity on what led him to that point because it's so frustrating not having any more details after all these years.

Has anyone from the forum ever come across information about this particular case involving Douglas Rubin? I'm really intrigued by the discovery of his car on the Throgs Neck Bridge. It's such an unusual location for a vehicle to be left behind. I find it strange that his wallet and eyeglasses were still inside the car. You'd think those are the kind of essentials someone wouldn't part with unless it was an emergency or, unfortunately, something far worse. I wonder if anyone has looked into other possible scenarios besides the obvious. Maybe someone picked him up? Perhaps there was another person involved we don't know about? Given the lack of evidence and the fact that no trace has been found, it feels like there could be more to this story. If anyone has new theories or insights, I'd be really interested to hear them!
