I've been digging around in some old newspapers from 1979 and stumbled across an interesting detail about Michael Charles Causley's case. It seems there was a significant storm that rolled through the area shortly after his boating accident. I can't help but wonder if this might've impacted search and rescue operations or possibly carried him further out to sea, complicating recovery efforts. Has anyone else come across information regarding weather conditions around that time? It might be a long shot, but maybe it contributed to why Michael was never found.

Was just thinking about how the ocean has such a powerful, unpredictable nature. My heart goes out to the family of Michael Charles Causley. It's been over 40 years since he vanished during that boating accident, yet there's never been a trace found. The vastness of the Pacific Ocean between Redondo Beach and Catalina Island would make for a difficult search, even with today's technology. I wonder what lessons we've learned from accident investigations over the decades that could help in similar situations today. It’s tough knowing that the ocean can hold its secrets so tightly. Thoughts and prayers to anyone still holding onto hope of finding answers in cases like these.

Does anyone have more info about other people who were on the boat with Michael the day he disappeared? I've been following his case but there seems to be little discussion about who else was there or their accounts of what actually happened that day. It seems like someone might have observed something crucial. If there were any witnesses, have they come forward with statements? Maybe one of them noticed something odd or saw where Michael was last seen before the accident? Any leads that could help piece together his last known moments would be really important, especially since it's been so long and his family deserves some answers.
