I came across Elsie Eldora Luscier's case while browsing old missing person cases and keep wondering about that initial search effort. It's baffling to think there was not a single trace found when both girls went missing. Given the dense forested areas around the Quinault Indian Reservation, I suspect there might have been challenges in thoroughly searching the terrain. Does anyone have insights into the search methods or resources used back in 1979? It's frustrating there's been no progress, and I'm curious about how much ground was truly covered back then.

Has anyone else looked into the possibility that Elsie and Carlotta might have used alternative modes of travel to get out of Taholah? I’ve been reading up on the case, and something keeps baffling me. If they were initially thought to be runaways, couldn’t they have caught a ride with someone trustworthy that wasn’t immediately looked into? Like maybe a family friend or someone they knew from the reservation? I know it's frustrating how little evidence has surfaced, but understanding how they might have left could open up new avenues for investigation. I sincerely hope any such leads are being followed up by current investigators. Just because it's an old case doesn't mean it's unsolvable! Would love to hear what others think on this, especially from locals who might have insights into transportation options back then.

Has anyone else been wondering if there could be a connection between Elsie and Carlotta's disappearance and some other cases of missing Indigenous children around that time? I've been going down a rabbit hole, and it seems like there might be patterns that authorities didn't see back then. The fact that they could have possibly gone to Seattle or Arizona seems like a shot in the dark, considering how those places were hubs of activity, both good and bad. But what if there’s something specific about those areas that’s been overlooked? I'm hoping that with more awareness, someone remembers something crucial that could connect more dots. What are your thoughts? Could there be a network to consider that was active back in the late 70s?
