Hey everyone, I've been reading more into the disappearance of Larry "DeWayne" Krebbs, and I came across something interesting about the searches that took place back then. From what I gathered, despite the extensive efforts, the search teams faced some tough conditions with the dense vegetation and rugged terrain around the Fort Washita area. It's wild to imagine how challenging it must have been, considering they didn't have the same tech and tools we have now for searches. I wonder if there are any updated methods or new tech that could be used today if they ever decided to revisit the area. What do you all think? Could modern technology make a difference in finding any overlooked evidence or does the passage of time make it too unlikely? Would love to hear your thoughts or if anyone has heard of similar cases where tech breakthroughs have led to new discoveries.

Hey all, has anyone looked into the possibility of a connection between DeWayne’s case and other disappearances in the Lake Texoma area around that time? I've been reading up on a few similar cases and it's making me wonder if there were patterns or circumstances back then that got overlooked. It’s really unsettling how quickly DeWayne vanished—one moment he was there, and the next, gone. I know the area around Fort Washita is vast and can be dense with trees and brush, which makes searching difficult, especially for a little one. I've read about how easy it is to lose sight of someone even a short distance away. Still, it makes you think: was it just a tragic accident, or could there have been more to it? Given that the father turned away only for a moment, could someone else in the vicinity have been watching and waiting for a chance? It’s eerie, and I can’t imagine how hard it must be for the family not to have answers. I've also heard about that scar on his chest, which is distinct. It's surprising they didn't find any clues, even considering that. If anyone knows more about other similar cases from that era or has done any digging into local records, please share. There’s got to be something more out there.
